Document Requirements for Equivalence of Foreign Educational Credentials

(Please scan and submit all required documents)

1. Equivalence of Secondary School Certificate

Applicants must provide the following documents:

1. Original and photocopy of the secondary school graduation certificate/diploma with an acceptable pass mark, duly authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

2. Original and photocopy of the passport (showing visa and presence in the country of study).

2. Equivalence of a Bachelor’s Degree

Bachelor’s degree holders must submit the following:

1. Original and photocopy of the Bachelor’s degree along with the academic transcript, both duly authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.

2. Original and photocopy of the high school graduation certificate, duly authenticated.

3. Original and photocopy of the passport (visa page) showing the applicant’s presence in the country of study during the training period.

4. Service fee:

   • Nationals: Birr 225

   • Non-nationals: Birr 450

3. Equivalence of a Master’s Degree

Master’s degree holders are required to provide the following:

1. Original and photocopy of the Master’s degree and academic transcript, both duly authenticated.

2. Original and photocopy of the Bachelor’s degree and academic transcript, duly authenticated.

3. Original and photocopy of the high school graduation certificate, if the Bachelor’s degree was obtained abroad, duly authenticated.

4. Original and photocopy of the passport (visa) showing presence in the country of study.

5. Service fee:

   • Nationals: Birr 225

   • Non-nationals: Birr 450

4. Equivalence of a PhD Degree

PhD graduates must submit the following:

1. Original and photocopy of the PhD degree and academic transcript, duly authenticated.

2. Original and photocopy of the Master’s degree and academic transcript, duly authenticated (if the Master’s degree was obtained abroad).

3. Original and photocopy of the Bachelor’s degree and academic transcript, duly authenticated (if obtained abroad).

4. Original and photocopy of the high school graduation certificate, duly authenticated (if the first degree was obtained abroad).

5. Original and photocopy of the passport (visa) showing presence in the country of study during the training period.

6. Service fee:

   • Nationals: Birr 225

   • Non-nationals: Birr 450
